NutriCology Mastic gum 120 capsules
Mastic Gum is the resin of the evergreen Mastic tree (Pistacia lentiscus), which is spread across the Mediterranean coasts of France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Turkey and Northern Arfica. It is cultivated primarily on the Greek island Kos to produce this aromatic resin, which is used for medical purposes from ancient Greece on.
For medical purposes it is the oil in the resin that is the most useful. the Greek doctor Pedanius Dioscorides mentions it already in his book De Materia Medica and it was used Hippocrates and Galenius. This oil is also in the NutriCology Mastic Gum extract capsules.
Mastic is used for gastric health, especially for problems with reflux and heartburn. It has antibacterial properties and is used to eliminate Helicobacter Pilory infections. Several medical studies are currently underway to confirm its effectiveness and potential use in medicine.
Mastic gum is a very safe supplement since it has been in regular use for at least 2500 years. It was always highly regarded, and in the Ottoman Empire it was equivalent to its weight in gold.
Hippocrates recommended it for the treatment of digestive issues, colds and as a breath freshener.
