Nature’s Answer Licorice root extract
Nature’s Answer Licorice root is an extract in the form of a alcohol-free tincture. Licorice root (Glycyrrhiza spp.) is a well-known medicinal plant in traditional Chinese medicine, where it is used for many purposes, including digestive problems (EFSA-Q-2008-4488).
The special active ingredient of the Licorice root is Glycyrrhizin, an ingredient that gives the sweet root its distinctive sweet taste. Glycyrrhizin can have a negative effect on blood pressure (it can raise it). Individuals with elevated blood pressure should therefore pay particular attention and consult a doctor before they use it.
The Glycyrrhizic acid metabolite inhibits the conversion of cortisol (stress hormone) to the “inactive” cortisone. In this way Licorice root raises cortisol in the body (or rather prolongs its effects).
If you are looking for only the positive effects of sweet root on digestion without affecting cortisol and blood pressure we recommend you use Licorice root without Glycyrrhizin (licorice DGL).

Each serving contains a 2,000 mg extract of the Licorice root.
How to use
How do I use Licorice?
Mix 1 to 2ml tincture with a little water and drink up to 3x daily, away from meals.
We recommend using it in the morning as it may be more difficult to fall asleep if you take it in the evening, because of energy rises.
After two months, we recommend at least 30 days of pause during re-taking.
If you have elevated blood pressure, be especially carefuly and consult your doctor or expert before taking.

After use, close and store the product in a dark, dry place at room temperature.
